Job summary

Denver Water in Denver, Colorado seeks a Chief Engineering Officer to lead capital delivery, infrastructure planning, construction, and related services. Reports directly to the CEO/Manager and sits on the Executive Leadership Team.

The role directs surveying & GIS, property services, and cross-functional programs, driving innovative, resilient water infrastructure for a growing community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Active PE license.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Executive-level experience guiding complex infrastructure, utilities, public works, or capital delivery organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Capital Delivery.
  • Oversee Infrastructure Planning and Construction.
  • Direct Property Services and Surveying & GIS.
  • Align engineering work with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver major capital projects on time and within budget.

The Opportunity

The Chief Engineering Officer reports directly to the CEO/Manager and serves as a member of Denver Water's Executive Leadership Team. This executive role provides strategic leadership for:
