Zone5Technologies in Fort Walton Beach is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the development and integration of next-generation unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This role demands expertise in unmanned multi-rotor systems with software or hardware engineering capabilities. The Chief Engineer will drive the technical strategy and execution of UAS platforms.

With a pay range of $200,000 to $250,000, the position offers a competitive total compensation package along with comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental insurance, a 401k with company-match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in unmanned aircraft systems development.
• 5+ years in technical leadership roles with responsibility for system-level design.
• Active or ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical development of UAS from concept through production.
• Define system architecture and technical requirements for next-generation platforms.
• Oversee integration with aircraft systems including mechanical interfaces.
