Holiday Inn Downtown Omaha Waterpark is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance team and ensure the hotel, guest rooms, and waterpark operate smoothly. The role focuses on supervising staff, preventive maintenance, and prompt resolution of issues to minimize disruption for guests.

Ideal candidates will have a CPO certification and proven hotel maintenance experience, with the ability to manage drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is required.
• Hotel maintenance experience is required.
• Working knowledge of drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs is required.
• Experience supervising a maintenance team is required.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills are essential.
• Availability to respond to urgent maintenance needs, including weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and schedule the maintenance team.
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair drywall, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Maintain the waterpark and pool systems in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues affecting guests, staff, or hotel operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and monitor the quality of completed work.
