Job summary

The Killeen Group is seeking an expert-level Dimensional Engineering leader for a leading manufacturer in Skagit County, WA. This onsite role requires deep technical expertise and program development experience to drive enterprise initiatives and support expansion.

You will guide measurement science, metrology practices, and inspection technologies while leading a team of technical inspectors and collaborating with executive leadership. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in dimensional engineering, precision metrology, and advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert for dimensional engineering, measurement science, and large-scale precision metrology.
  • Develop enterprise standards and best practices for dimensional analysis, measurement planning, and verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and executive teams; report to VP/EVP of Operations.
  • Advise executive teams on applicable means & methods; create efficiencies across the organization.
  • Lead resolution of complex dimensional issues affecting design, manufacturing, tooling, assembly, and inspection.
  • Provide technical guidance during product development to improve manufacturability, inspection ability, and tolerance robustness.
  • Provide technical expertise in laser trackers, CMM, and other scanning and inspection technologies.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team overseeing technical inspectors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

The Killeen Group is seeking an expert-level Dimensional Engineering leader on behalf of a leading manufacturer in Skagit County, WA. This growing company provides award-winning service to the commercial aerospace, space and defense markets.

This role is right for you if you have deep technical expertise and program development experience, can collaboratively build and drive enterprise-level initiatives and still manage day-to-day people needs during periods of significant expansion.

Location(s): Onsite – Hamilton, WA

Compensation: $160,000-$215,000/yr + ESOP + Performance Bonus

Duties:

  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert for dimensional engineering, measurement science, and large-scale precision metrology.
  • Develop enterprise standards and best practices for dimensional analysis, measurement planning, and verification.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional and executive teams; This role reports directly to the VP/EVP of Operations
  • Advise executive teams on applicable means & methods; create efficiencies throughout the organization
  • Lead resolution of complex dimensional issues affecting design, manufacturing, tooling, assembly, and inspection.
  • Provide technical guidance during product development to improve manufacturability, inspection ability, and tolerance robustness.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas such as laser trackers, CMM, & other scanning and inspection technologies
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team which oversees technical inspectors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in dimensional engineering, precision metrology, and advanced manufacturing with deep expertise in a wide variety of inspection technologies and industry best practices

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Hiring Company will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
