Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector seeks a Chief Engineer with a USCG 4000hp license to support the OMUSV program based in Port Hueneme, CA. You will supervise, troubleshoot, and maintain the Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) and support vessels, and travel to sea as required.

Primary duties include propulsion system oversight in port and underway, vessel readiness, and coordination with Navy personnel. Candidates must have USCG 4000hp Chief Engineer credentials, be a US citizen, and able to pass background

Qualifications

• USCG 4000hp Chief Engineer credentials required.
• Ability to perform in arduous duty environments and aboard sea-going vessels.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance aboard the USV and support vessels.
• Perform/supervise propulsion system maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automated control systems.
• Coordinate pre/post mission craft readiness and ensure vessel cleanliness and readiness.
