Job summary

OTO Development in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer to support daily property operations and guest experience.

You will lead a team of Tech I and II, perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks, and coordinate with outside contractors while ensuring preventative maintenance and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer, or 4–5 years in a related field.
• Currently managing at least one subordinate.
• Proficient with hand tools and maintenance duties.
• Time management to complete work within set parameters.
• Customer service focus and ability to anticipate guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a timely manner and provide great guest service.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties as needed.
• Lead a team of Building Maintenance Tech I and II to complete tasks via QUORE.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects.
• Oversee all 3rd party outside contractors.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly.
• Always maintain a professional appearance.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing most days?

• Respond to guest requests in a timely manner and provide great guest service
• Perform preventative maintenance duties and procedures as needed
• Lead a team of Building Maintenance Tech I and II to complete tasks as assigned by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (QUORE).
• Perform a variety of tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects
• Oversee all 3rd party outside contractors
• Respond to emergency situations promptly
• Always maintain a professional appearance
• Complete other duties as assigned

What are the requirements for this position?

• You have been currently working as a Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer for at least 2 years or at least 4-5 years of experience in a related field
• You are currently managing at least one subordinate
• You have proficient knowledge of hand tools and maintenance duties
• You have time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters
• You have a customer service focus and the ability anticipate guest needs

Physical Requirements for this Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements

This position would require 10% travel.
