Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Chief Engineer - Structural Steel for Western New York. This leadership role goes beyond reviewing drawings, owning technical decisions from calculations to production, and directing engineering across multiple projects.

You will lead a team of engineers, shape connection designs, ensure compliance with AISC standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with detailing, project management, production and quality teams to deliver high-quality steel structures.

Qualifications

• Strong structural steel engineering experience.
• Solid connection design knowledge.

• PE License preferred.

Chief Engineer - Structural Steel

Western New York

$120,000 to $160,000

This isn't a role where you'll simply review drawings from the sidelines.

We're looking for a Chief Engineer to take technical ownership within a major structural steel operation - leading engineering, shaping connection design, solving complex technical challenges, and helping drive projects from engineering through production.

You'll be stepping into a position where your decisions have a direct impact on quality, efficiency, and the successful delivery of major steel projects.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Chief Engineer, you'll become a key technical leader within the business.

You'll work closely with detailing, project management, production and quality teams, ensuring engineering decisions translate effectively from calculations and drawings into the shop and ultimately onto the project.

You'll also have the opportunity to develop junior engineers and improve engineering processes, giving you genuine influence over how the function operates.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
