As a Chief Engineer for our organization, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical consultation advice to the project regarding design issues, development and test approaches

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree experience in an engineering field with 20+ years of related experience
• Must be able to pass a Government background investigation
• Strong experience designing, developing, and delivering mechanical hardware, assemblies, and mechanical systems
• Strong experience using CREO
• Experience with Windchill
• Extensive experience with model conversion into various CAD formats.
• Firm grasp and understanding of ANSI drafting and tolerance standards
• Experience at authoring and maintaining project documentation

Desired Experience:

• Knowledge of materials, treatments, and coatings related to space-flight design and operation of mechanisms
• Knowledge of General Environmental Verification Specification (GEVS) and NASA 5017
• Practical knowledge of Standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with NASA mission life cycle and review cycle (design reviews, requirements reviews, integration reviews, trade studies, etc.)
