Job summary

Northrop & Johnson is seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50 m private/charter yacht operating out of Fort Lauderdale under a 2:2 rotation. You will manage propulsion, electrical and support systems to maintain safety and service standards.

Requirements include MCA Y2 or equivalent; Caterpillar and aluminium hull experience are highly valued; candidates must have B1/B2 and Schengen visas if needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum MCA Y2 (or equivalent) required.
• Caterpillar experience strongly preferred.
• Aluminium hull experience preferred.
• B1/B2 and Schengen visas required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Chief Engineer on rotation (2:2, time for time) for a 50 m private/charter yacht.
• Oversee propulsion, electrical gensets and on-board systems; ensure ABS class compliance.
