Job summary

Qualifications

• Eight years or more of senior leadership experience in strategic planning, partnerships or economic development.
• Proven ability to secure large, multi-party partnerships and investments.
• Strong executive relationship-building and diplomatic judgment across state government, industry, philanthropy, and communities.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead an Office of Economic Development focused on executive engagement and external corporate relationships.
• Serve as the Chancellor's principal advisor and lead negotiator on statewide competitiveness and innovation strategy.
• Negotiate talent development commitments and coordinate implementation with Academic Affairs and community colleges.
• Cultivate philanthropic partnerships to strengthen Colorado's innovation economy.
• Translate university research into economic and societal impact through strategic partnerships.
