Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (as listed)
• At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in community development, economic development, real estate or related field
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
• Veterans’ Preference: attach DD214 and service-connected documentation as applicable

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements short and long-term priorities and development strategy for the City Commission
• Communicates the City's vision for equitable economic development to stakeholders
• Provides leadership through broad community involvement to promote economic well-being
• Advises public officials and private sector on economic development initiatives
• Researches and implements economic development plans
• Pursues grant funding opportunities
• Keeps City leadership informed on trends and initiatives
• Represents the City on local and regional boards

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economic Development, Real Estate, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Finance, or similar area of study
