Job summary

Delta Dental of California is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Quality & Policy to provide strategic clinical leadership for their transforming dental health plan. This role is accountable for oversight of Utilization Management, Clinical Review, and Clinical Quality functions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the dental healthcare field, a DDS or DMD, and strong leadership skills to influence clinical standards and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in healthcare with a Bachelor’s degree; 3+ years of management experience.
• Active dental license required, or ability to obtain licensure.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in dental or managed care.
• Proven ability to influence and work across complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for Utilization Management and Clinical Quality functions.
• Influence provider strategy through clinical standards.
• Shape clinical positioning through partnerships and thought leadership.
• Develop dental clinical protocols and conduct clinical policy governance.
• Implement Continuous Clinical Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Align clinical strategy with business goals for integrated care.
