Job summary

Con Edison Co. is seeking a Construction Supervisor to plan, manage, and oversee the activities of inspectors and contractors across company facilities, generating stations, substations, and municipal work within franchised areas.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to company specifications, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining facility integrity and project schedules and budgets. This role does not provide employment under STEM OPT.

• Plan, manage, execute, direct, and supervise activities of inspectors, company contractors, and municipal/private contractors performing construction projects.
• Ensure work complies with company specifications, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements while protecting facility integrity and staying on schedule and budget.

Job description

The primary function of this position is to plan, manage, execute, direct, and/or supervise the activities of company inspectors, company contractors, and municipal, transit authority, or private contractors; that are performing various construction projects within company facilities, generating stations, and substations, or within franchised area such as public roadways, highway, or bridges. Ensure all work is done in strict compliance with all the applicable company specifications, standards and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements. In addition, CCIs are responsible to properly maintain, protect, support the integrity of company facilities during construction projects, and ensure all work is completed within the specified schedule and budget. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan. Provides oversight and leadership at multiple construction job sites and may be reassigned

to alternate locations based on business requirements.
