Latino Outdoors in Olympia, WA seeks a Chief Appraiser, Assistant Division Manager, WMS3 to lead the Appraisal Unit, provide guidance on land use and real estate matters, and develop long-term strategies for asset diversification.

The role oversees USPAP-compliant appraisals, mentors staff, coordinates with divisions, and ensures legal standards while optimizing resources and staff performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General Real Estate Appraiser certification.
• Three years of experience as a professional appraiser.
• One year supervising professional staff and advising on land use/appraisal issues.
• Experience resolving complex appraisal issues.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and word processing.
• Experience in conflict resolution.
• Experience in negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to department managers on land use and real estate matters.
• Plan, lead, organize, and supervise the Appraisal Unit.
• Ensure optimal use of resources and mentor staff.
• Prepare and review USPAP-compliant appraisals, including external/appraisals.
• Develop procedures to ensure appraisals meet legal standards.
