Job summary

Sardi’s in Maryland is seeking a Chicken Cook to join our team. You will prepare, cut, and cook chicken to our specifications, while maintaining safety and sanitation in a fast-paced kitchen. You will support service goals by delivering high-quality meals and assisting other areas as required.

The role emphasizes proper food handling, timely production, and collaboration with the expeditor and management to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking chicken and preparing poultry to standard specs.
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation at all times.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and prepares all chicken for cooking.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary station and uses equipment safely.
• Rotates, labels and dates all food stores for quality control.
• Cooks chicken according to Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa specifications.
• Sends food orders to the expediter in an organized manner.
• Assists in other areas as needed by management.

We're hiring Chicken Cooks to join our team!

Our Chicken Cooks are tasked with properly cutting, cleaning, preparing and cooking our chicken according to company standards and specifications in an expeditious, safe and sanitary manner. You are expected to support our team service goal by serving high quality food in a respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and prepares all chicken for cooking
• Shows care for and maintains all restaurant facilities while using them in a safe manner
• Knows proper set-up, usage and break-down of station and all food production equipment. Operates equipment in only the safest manner
• Rotates, labels and dates all food stores, resulting in only the freshest highest-quality ingredients
• Understands and follows proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Cooks chicken following Sardi’s Pollo A La Brasa specifications
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station
• Send food orders to the expediter in a complete and organized fashion
• Meets the needs of the operation by assisting in any area requested by the management
