Job summary

A leading law firm in Chicago is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of 2 years in commercial litigation. This role involves managing all phases of litigation, including drafting motions and depositions, alongside experienced trial lawyers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background at an Am Law firm and must be admitted to the Illinois bar. The firm offers a compensation range of $250-$350k and comprehensive benefits in a collegial environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial or complex litigation.
• Background at an Am Law firm or highly regarded litigation practice preferred.
• Experience with federal and/or state court litigation.

Responsibilities

• Managing all phases of commercial and business litigation.
• Drafting substantive motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Taking and defending fact and expert depositions.
• Participating in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Working directly with partners and clients on case strategy and risk assessment.
