Job summary

PwC is seeking an Audit Intern in Chicago to gain exposure to financial statement audits and support client services. You will learn and apply PwC's audit methodologies while developing foundational skills in GAAP, GAAS, and financial analysis.

You will observe experienced auditors, participate in documentation, and contribute to client engagement activities, all within a learning-oriented environment designed to build your professional career.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least a 3.0 overall GPA
• Meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
• Client service intern positions are entry-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and gaining exposure to auditing methodologies
• Participate in the review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance with accounting standards
• Assist in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making
• Engage in the documentation of audit processes and findings to maintain organized records
• Learn and apply GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks
• Collaborate with team members to monitor and analyze financial trends and assess risk factors
• Contribute to the evaluation of internal controls and identify areas for improvement

What You Must Have

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
• At least a 3.0 overall GPA
• Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
• Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
