Job summary

A community care organization in Hoboken is seeking per diem Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to provide essential care for elderly participants. Responsibilities include assisting with daily health-related tasks under the supervision of a Home Care Coordinator. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, a New Jersey CHHA License, and a driver's license. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist participants in the home with duties essential to the patient’s health.
• Provide care under the supervision of the Home Care Coordinator/ Registered Nurse.
• Communicate clearly with participants, families and medical staff.

Skills

Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of a home health aide

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions

Knowledge of medical equipment use and maintenance

Skilled in establishing effective working relationships

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to react calmly in emergency situations

We are hiring for per diem, as needed Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA)! This position will care for our participants in Hoboken.

Under the direction and supervision of the Home Care Coordinator/ Registered Nurse, assists participants in the home with duties essential to the patient’s health in accordance with the patient’s individualized care plan.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Home Health Aide License --New Jersey
• Current driver’s license with proof of auto insurance
• Safe driving record

Skill(s)

• Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of a home health aide
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
• Knowledge of medical equipment use and maintenance
• Skilled in establishing and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, medical staff and the public.
• Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution.
