Job summary

Strategic Kids LLC in Colorado is seeking afterschool chess coaches who enjoy teaching elementary students. You will lead high-quality chess classes, take daily attendance, and master our curriculum to deliver consistent, engaging sessions after school.

Collaborate with instructors and administrators, attend program meetings and events, and help run schools-to-schools logistics. Reliable transportation and ability to lift equipment are required; three days of availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum one year experience with elementary age children.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and transport equipment between schools.
• Must be able to stand for one hour blocks.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Job Overview

We are seeking afterschool chess coaches who have a passion for working with elementary age children. Our chess program is the largest enrichment program in Strategic Kids and we're looking for individuals who want to contribute to our students and continue to bring quality to the program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high quality chess classes for the students we serve
• Take daily attendance for all classes
• Master the curriculum
• Attend program meetings and special events
• Collaborate with other instructors and administrators

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• A minimum of one year experience working with Elementary Age Children
• Classroom management
• Reliable transportation
• General Knowledge of Chess
• Minimum three days of availability
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and transport equipment from school to school
• Must be able to stand for one hour blocks

Sample Schedule:

• Mondays: 2:20 - 4:20 pm
• Tuesdays: 2:45- 6:00 pm
• Thursdays: 2:20 - 3:45 pm
• Fridays: 2:20 - 3:45 pm
