Job summary

Commonwealth Dentistry in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Full Time Registered Dental Hygienist (Day shift, Clinical) to join our practice. You will assess patient needs, deliver direct care, take radiographs, and apply sealants and fluoride under dentist supervision.

Ideal candidates hold Virginia Hygiene license, complete dental hygiene program, and can work independently with a team, maintain records, educate patients on prevention, and participate in treatment planning and billing discussions.

Qualifications

• Virginia license required for hygienist practice.
• Completion of dental hygiene program or degree.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess dental condition using screening procedures and charting.
• Deliver direct patient care and dental hygiene procedures.
• Take patient vital signs and radiographs as needed.
• Perform cleaning, polishing, sealants and fluorides.
• Maintain electronic records and document patient history.
• Explain treatment plans and associated fees.
