Job summary

Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) seeks a Pharmacy Admixture Tech in Las Vegas to perform medication preparation under physician supervision. Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in a pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under supervision.
• Check all orders for completeness and verify patient information and physician authorization.
• Admix drugs as ordered by a physician with accuracy and timeliness.
• Calculate correct dosage volumes and convert units as needed.
• Assist in controlled substance record keeping per guidelines and regulations.
• Dispose of materials per guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain temperature logs and inventory documentation and ensure proper lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Provide support across the medication use process including labeling and basic data entry.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the admixture area and pharmacy per state rules.
