Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a patent attorney in Washington, DC with 1+ year of patent prosecution experience and a Ph.D. in Chemistry to service clients in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical industries.

The attorney will draft and prosecute patents, conduct inventor interviews, perform patentability analyses, and contribute to portfolio strategy and IP counseling. The role emphasizes working on sophisticated patent matters for diverse clients, offering the opportunity

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field.
• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership.
• USPTO registration.
• 1+ year of substantive patent prosecution experience.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skill.

Responsabilités

• Draft and prosecute patents for life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries.
• Conduct inventor interviews and gather invention disclosures.
• Perform patentability analyses and freedom-to-operate reviews.
• Develop and manage patent portfolios and strategy.

The attorney will work on sophisticated patent matters for clients in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries, including patent drafting and prosecution, inventor interviews, patentability analysis, portfolio strategy, and related IP counseling.
