Job summary

Leprino Foods Company in Denver is seeking a Chemistry Lab Technician III to support accurate laboratory testing through sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and daily lab operations within our Corporate Analytical Services team.

You will assist senior staff, prepare samples and reagents, enter data into lab databases, maintain safety standards, and help manage laboratory inventory while contributing to product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
• Basic math skills for sample preparation and testing.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately during testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior laboratory staff with chemistry testing and ensure timely results.
• Prepare samples, standard solutions, and reagents for testing.
• Record test results, observations, deviations, and QC information accurately.
• Enter sample and testing data into laboratory databases to support quality standards.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspaces.
• Coordinate laboratory inventory and ordering of supplies and samples.
• Support proficiency testing programs and collaborative studies.
• Follow established procedures and safety standards for chemicals and equipment.

Description:

Within our Corporate Analytical Services team located in Denver – Leprino is seeking a Chemistry Lab Technician III to support accurate and reliable laboratory testing through sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and daily lab operations. This role works closely with our chemistry team to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient laboratory while contributing to the quality and consistency of our products.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $30.03 and $33.03 an hour. This position has an annual target bonus of 3.5%.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist senior laboratory staff with chemistry testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Prepare samples, standard solutions, and reagents for chemical testing and analysis.
• Record test results, observations, deviations, and quality control information with accuracy.
• Enter sample and testing data into laboratory databases to support product quality standards.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspaces to support daily testing activities.
• Coordinate laboratory inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies and samples.
• Support proficiency testing programs, collaborative studies, and other laboratory projects.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and safety standards when handling chemicals, samples, and equipment.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
• Basic math skills, including calculations used in laboratory sample preparation and testing.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately when performing laboratory testing and interpreting results.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• An associate or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field.
• Previous experience working in a chemistry, food science, or quality control laboratory.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including pipettes, analytical balances, and basic chemistry testing instruments.
• Experience preparing chemical solutions, maintaining laboratory records, or supporting proficiency testing programs.
