You will set up and clean up labs, manage supplies, assist with routine procedures, and ensure compliance with chemical hygiene standards, standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment, chemicals, glassware, and supplies for laboratory classes.
• Set up and clean up chemistry laboratories before and after lab sessions.
• Clean, organize, and properly store laboratory equipment, glassware, and chemicals.
• Monitor laboratory supply inventory and notify faculty when materials need to be replenished.
• Assist faculty with routine laboratory preparation and basic laboratory procedures.
• Follow all chemical hygiene and laboratory safety procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of chemical waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Chemistry Department.
