Job summary

The successful candidate will teach 18-21 contact hours weekly, across traditional, hybrid, and online modalities, on the Person or Caswell campus, and maintain current syllabi while contributing to program development and assessment.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Chemistry or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Experience with instructional design and course planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach 18-21 contact hours of Chemistry courses per week.
• Teach courses in traditional, hybrid, and online modalities on either campus.
• Maintain up-to-date syllabi and assist with course development as needed.
• Ensure clearly defined student learning outcomes for all courses.
• Design and implement instructional activities that maximize learning.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Submit required college records (attendance, grades).
• Maintain weekly office hours for students and planning.
• Participate in institutional committees and initiatives.
• Provide quality service to students and colleagues.
