Prolific is seeking Chemistry Experts and Chemical Engineers to join our Expert Network to help train and evaluate AI models using real-world chemical expertise. If successful, you’ll be invited to join Prolific as a participant, where you’ll get paid to train and evaluate powerful AI models.

Researchers looking for your skills tend to be paid up to $60 per hour. Many tasks require one hour of uninterrupted work, though some are shorter. Flexible hours and remote work from home are possible.

Qualificações

• Education: BS, MS or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related Physical Science field.
• Professional Experience: laboratory research, industrial chemical processing, pharmaceutical R&D, or academic instruction.
• Technical Mastery: deep knowledge of organic, inorganic, analytical, or physical chemistry principles and reaction mechanisms.
• Safety & Compliance: understanding of chemical safety protocols (SDS), GHS standards, and regulatory requirements (EPA, REACH, FDA).
• Analytical Precision: identify errors in IUPAC nomenclature, stoichiometry, molecular geometry, and thermodynamics.
• Communication: explain intricate reaction pathways or molecular interactions clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate AI-Generated Chemistry: review model responses for factual accuracy and logic.
• Fact-Check Reactions & Formulas: validate reactions, balancing equations, and viable synthetic routes.
• Audit Technical Documentation: review lab protocols, safety summaries, and spectral interpretations for accuracy.
• Annotate Molecular Data: identify and correct errors in SMILES strings and 2D/3D representations.
• Safety Monitoring: ensure outputs do not provide instructions for hazardous substances.

What you’ll be doing in the role

• Evaluate AI-Generated Chemistry: review model responses to advanced chemistry queries for factual accuracy, structural integrity, and logical reasoning.
• Fact-Check Reactions & Formulas: validate AI-generated chemical reactions, balancing equations, and ensuring proposed synthetic routes are viable and safe.
• Audit Technical Documentation: review model-generated lab protocols, safety summaries, and spectral interpretations (NMR, IR, Mass Spec) for accuracy.
• Annotate Molecular Data: identify and correct errors in SMILES strings, 2D/3D molecular representations, and property predictions.
• Safety Monitoring: ensure AI outputs do not provide instructions for the synthesis of hazardous, illicit, or restricted substances.
