Howard Community College (HCC) is seeking a 10‑month full‑time Chemistry Faculty member to begin in Spring 2027. The faculty member will primarily teach introductory and general chemistry lecture and laboratory courses for allied health majors, with the possibility of teaching other chemistry classes as needed. Faculty may be asked to teach day and/or evening courses and across modalities (hybrid, face‑to‑face, online, etc.). The successful candidate is an enthusiastic educator who demonstrates professionalism, a commitment to teaching excellence, and an ability to incorporate innovative strategies and technology appropriately into instruction. Interest in mentoring students in undergraduate research projects is preferred.
Salary range: $63,544–$87,374, reflecting the anticipated hiring range for this position. Actual starting salary will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.

HCC does not generally sponsor work visas and only hires employees in states contiguous to Maryland (Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania).
