Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an experienced technical specialist in chemistry within Minnesota to drive exploratory research and help advance chemistry's role in product discovery. You will organize and promote ideas, and develop economically sound proposals for new or improved products and methods.

The role emphasizes delivering R&D outcomes, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Chemistry education required.
  • Laboratory experience required.
  • Pharma or combination device regulated industry experience required.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) and minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years experience.
  • 17025 lab experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts exploratory research to produce new knowledge and potential products.
  • Conceives, organizes, promotes, and executes ideas and plans to increase chemistry's role in and contribution to the discovery and chemical approaches to meet exploratory objectives in product discovery.
  • Develops research proposals to provide a technically and economically sound basis for developing and evaluating new or improved products, synthetic methods, processes, and analytical and physical testing techniques.
  • Recommends utilization of the results or changes in the scope of work or termination of projects.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Conducts exploratory research to produce new knowledge and potential products.

Technical Specialist Career Stream
  • An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies.
  • Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
  • May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals.
  • The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies - from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Required Knowledge And Experience
  • Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.
  • 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
