Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is looking for a Chemist I in the Bryn Mawr, PA area to perform analysis of water and wastewater in our accredited laboratory. You will operate GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and GC/ECD, prepare solutions, and maintain records to support quality control and accreditation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of relevant experience; water/wastewater analysis experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience in water and wastewater analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis of water and wastewater samples in the Organic section using various techniques.
• Prepare chemical solutions, bottles and sample kits; maintain logbooks for accreditation.
• Operate GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and GC/ECD for chemical analysis.
• Follow SOPs and GLP to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant laboratory work.
• Maintain accurate data packages and reports of analytical results.
