Qualifications

• An associate degree in chemistry or related science with 2+ years industrial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science with 1-2 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform complex manipulations.

Position Summary

Our laboratory works with pharmaceutical companies, compounding and hospital pharmacies, drug manufacturers, and raw material suppliers bringing excellence to pharmaceutical sciences and making pharmaceuticals safer. This position is a fantastic stepping-stone for those with some basic experience looking to expand their career in the interesting world of the pharmaceutical industry. The Chemist I is responsible for utilizing established methods and standard lab equipment/instrumentation (HPLC, IC) to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze routine pharmaceutical substances and formulations.

Work Schedule: 1:00pm - 9:30pm with 3% shift differential

Restrictions: Because of vital nature of this work, we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all of our employees.

Position Requirements

• An associate degree in chemistry or related science with 2+ years industrial experience OR...
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science with 1-2 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Work Environment

This job operates in a laboratory environment.

Physical Demands

The role requires standing for prolonged periods of time; dexterity in fingers and hands to perform complex and precise manipulations; ability to walk and stoop; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; see in the normal visual range including the ability to distinguish colors and shades and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
