Job summary

Xttrium Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Chemist II in the QC Laboratory to perform routine analytical testing and data analysis following USP methods and SOPs. You will work with a range of wet chemistry techniques to evaluate chemical and physical properties of substances used in consumer products.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with OpenLab or LabX is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related Science discipline.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in wet chemistry techniques such as titrations, FTIR, HPLC, GC.
• Prefer OpenLab and LabX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine analytical studies following official USP methods and SOPs.
• Testing includes pH, water determination, density, titrations, viscosity, dissolution, TLC, FTIR, UV, HPLC, GC.
• Assists in preparation, submission and filing reports on sample tests, correlation tests, calibration and validation.
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments/equipment.
• Inputs and maintains technical information to support laboratory operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook and adheres to internal standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Chemist II within the QC Laboratory to conduct routine sample analysis and prepare with and without the use of instrumentation following official USP methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Builds their knowledge and skills in evaluation of the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts routine analytical studies of samples and preparation with and without the use of instrumentation following official USP methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
• Testing includes but is not limited to pH, water determination, density, titrations, viscosity, dissolution, TLC, FTIR, UV, HPLC, and GC.
• Assists in preparation, submission and filing reports on sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation and other projects
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and trouble-shoots laboratory instruments / equipment
• Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related Science discipline
• 3-8 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following wet chemistry techniques; assay titrations, TLC, water determination, FTIR, HPLC, GC
