Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental seeks a Chemical Treatment Coordinator for our Casa Grande, AZ facility to lead chemical stabilization, neutralization and evaporation operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance and optimize throughput while partnering with the Plant Manager on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 5-10+ years in hazardous/non-hazardous waste, strong technical background, and capability to work in a PPE-intensive environment. On-site, full-time position with on-call duties.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years’ experience within the hazardous and non-hazardous waste business.
  • Experience in chemical stabilization, neutralization and evaporation processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Ability to lead teams and report to management.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and planning of chemical stabilization, neutralization, and evaporation processes.
  • Review incoming waste streams for treatability and profitability.
  • Ensure all treatment activities comply with regulations and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with EHS to develop and enforce safety protocols.
  • Recommend hires and retain employees.
  • Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and control operational costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Regularly inspect treatment area and processes.
  • Adopt best management practices to enhance performance.
  • Analyze industry and market trends to inform operations.
  • Develop knowledge of the company’s treatment capabilities.
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities for Emergency Response.

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Chemical Treatment Coordinator for our Casa Grande, AZ facility .

The Treatment Coordinator manages the chemical stabilization, neutralization and evaporation operations at the Triumvirate Casa Grande, Arizona facility. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the hazardous and non-hazardous waste industry. We are seeking a professional capable of working side by side with our Plant Manager optimizing safety, compliance, and hazardous waste processing throughput.

This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and planning of the chemical stabilization, neutralization, and evaporation processes.
  • Able to review incoming waste streams for treatability and profitability
  • Ensure all treatment activities are performed in full compliance with established regulations and site operating procedures.
  • Works collaboratively with Environmental, Health and Safety personnel to develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect employees and the environment.
  • Recommend hires and retain employees.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling operational costs while maintaining high-quality service delivery
  • Conduct regular inspections of the treatment area and processes according to established protocols.
  • Continually pursue best management practices to enhance operational performance
  • Regularly analyze and assess industry and market trends
  • Develop technical expertise and knowledge of the company’s chemical treatment capabilities
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build, lead teams, provide direction to staff with regulatory reporting to senior management.
  • 5-10+ years’ experience within the hazardous and non-hazardous waste business.
  • Proven experience with chemical stabilization, neutralization and evaporation processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Possess strategic, problem analysis, and creativity skills.
  • Ability to function in all levels of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Expertise in all MS suite applications with strong Excel skills.
  • Education: Bachelors and/or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Certification w/ current 8-hr refresher
  • D.O.T. Hazardous Materials Training
  • Able to obtain and maintain a fork truck license
  • Personality conducive to teamwork
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
  • Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
  • Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
  • The Chemical Treatment Coordinatorfrequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
