Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a chemistry systems engineer to support the Automated Chemistry Equipment unit, developing hardware and software to sustain fleet chemistry analysis from design to deployment and upkeep.

You will work with shipyard field engineers, fleet chemistry specialists, lab operations staff, and cybersecurity experts to deliver innovative solutions for modernization of fleet chemistry analysis, while expanding your technical and leadership skills through diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Masters with 4 years; or Doctorate with 1 year; or currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or RPCO Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct fleet support for automated online chemistry analysis systems.
• Develop hardware and software systems for fleet chemistry analysis.
• Lead system design through hardware delivery and upkeep.
• Collaborate with shipyard field engineers, fleet chemistry experts, laboratory operations personnel, and cybersecurity experts.
