This position reports to:

Sales Manager, East Region

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market or division, aligned with the division strategy.

Strategy
  • Create, implement, and review the assigned area industry segment strategy. Drive top-level growth focusing on penetration, innovation, and expansion.
Targets
  • Define key application targets (e.g., volume, prices, portfolio mix) and ensure these are achieved for the segment(s).
  • Ensure business plans are in place for both direct accounts and channel partners.
Market analysis
  • Activate operational intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategies, etc.
  • Understand relevant regulations and standards (e.g., cybersecurity) in the target market segments to capture new business opportunities.
Marketing
  • Ensure ABB's value proposition for the target segment is well developed and communicated internally and externally.
  • Support local sales organizations to ensure positive perception in the target segments.
Qualifications for the role
  • Associate's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct-to-end customer sales or related services.
  • 8 years of experience in sales, related experience, or education preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience.
