Job summary

EKI is seeking an entry-level Chemical Production Laboratory Tech for its Quality Control & Batch Production Laboratory. The role involves manufacturing small batches of chemical solutions and diagnostic reagents, and performing quality control tests on in-process and finished products.

This full-time position offers hands-on work with lab equipment, data entry, and attention to safety in a chemical manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wet chemistry laboratory experience (college or vocational) required.
• HAZMAT awareness training or experience helpful.
• Good communication, organizational, time management & mathematical skills.
• Dependable, reliable and punctual.
• Influenza vaccination is required and provided free of charge; must be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Produce batches by blending and mixing component ingredients per batch instructions.
• Filtering and packaging of finished products.
• Perform quality testing of in-process and finished products.
• Entry of QC data into laboratory software system.
• Maintain and properly use lab equipment (scales, analytical balance, pH meters, spectrophotometer, etc.).
• Perform titrations and corresponding calculations.
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and laboratory chemicals.
• Ensure laboratory work areas, glassware, tanks and other equipment are clean and promote overall workplace safety.
