Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, part of Element Solutions Inc., is seeking a Chemical Process Technician in Fremont, CA. You will operate reactors, mixers, and pumps, monitor process parameters, and perform in-process quality checks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will ensure safety with proper PPE, follow SOPs, and collaborate with maintenance and production teams to deliver high-quality products while maintaining clean, compliant work areas.

Qualifications

• Production experience in manufacturing or chemical processing is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE use, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Understanding of quality control principles and product consistency.
• Accurate production records and following written procedures.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift, stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely according to SOPs (reactors, mixers, pumps).
• Monitor temperature, pressure, flow rates and other indicators for stability.
• Perform in-process checks, take samples and report deviations.
• Load/unload materials, transfer batches and package finished goods.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with housekeeping standards.
• Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Support troubleshooting and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Accurately complete production logs and shift handovers.
