Job summary

USALCO, LLC is seeking a Chemical Operator to manufacture chemical products while maintaining strict compliance with company policies. The role requires a motivated, detail‑oriented, team‑oriented individual who can operate independently and drive high performance.

The operator will oversee safe process operation, apply safety rules, wear PPE, and actively pursue process improvements in collaboration with management and peers to implement changes promptly.

Qualifications

• Requires planning skills to prioritize daily process operation.
• Must pay attention to detail.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing and equipment.
• Must be dependable, flexible and able to respond on short notice to satisfy customers.
• Requires good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with others, both verbally and in written form.
• Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must obtain Fork Lift certification within 30 calendar days of hire if applicable to site.
• Must be able to learn the chemical operator position within 60 calendar days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of assigned process(es) including safe transfer of hazardous chemicals.
• Apply all plant safety rules, guidelines, practices, and procedures.
• Wear and maintain PPE required for hazardous chemicals.
• Develop and apply improvements in processes, equipment and procedures.
• Perform daily walk-throughs to audit safety and housekeeping.
• Conduct quality assurance checks for manufactured products.
• Adjust formulations to meet specifications.
• Assist in loading trailers with products.
• Unload raw materials as needed.
• Complete Certificates of Compliance for loaded trailers.
• Maintain and communicate Daily Management practices for the facility.
• Coordinate maintenance through MaintainX work orders.
• Inspect plant equipment daily and report issues to Supervisor.
• Work overtime and on rotating shifts as required.
