Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an Operator I for a manufacturing environment. You will learn safety policies, follow SOPs, and work across shifts as needed.

Starting pay is $22.30/hr with night shift differentials. You will perform data input, monitor PLCs, conduct chemistry analyses, and operate forklifts.

This role requires attendance, teamwork, and flexibility to cover overtime and various tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Learn and follow LOTO, MOC, SOP, Standard Work Procedures and EI.
  • Perform simple data input and monitor process equipment through PLC.
  • Perform chemical lab analyses per procedure.
  • Perform standard work accurately.
  • Break chemical lines and clean vessels for maintenance prep.
  • Log process data and batch progress on paper logs.
  • Operate across multiple tasks including process monitoring and setup.
  • Generate safety, quality and cost improvement ideas.
  • Participate in Kaizen events when assigned.
  • Perform TPM procedures as required by LMS.
  • Learn and utilize the DPQx SPC system and report abnormalities to leadership.
  • Drive a forklift.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance.
  • Be able to work any shift and cover overtime.
  • Operate independently within certified areas.

Job description

This position requires wearing a respirator. Depending on the department and materials being handled, respiratory PPE will be required to protect employees from dust, mist, fibers, fumes, or other airborne contaminants. Proper respirator fit is important for providing the expected protection.

Train on 1st shift and eventually move to 2nd or 3rd shift. Must be available to work any shift.

$22.30/HR starting pay with night shift differentials.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures, including Safe Work Practices.
  • Must learn and follow LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out),MOC (Management of Change), SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), Standard Work Procedures and Engineering Instructions (EI).
  • Perform simple computer work, for example inputting of data, monitoring of process equipment though PLC.
  • Perform chemical lab analysis, accurately and reliably to procedure.
  • Perform all standard work accurately and reliably
  • Break chemical lines, and clean vessels to perform routine process procedures and prepare the process for maintenance work.
  • Log process data and batch process progress on paper logs as needed.
  • Operator will be assigned various tasks throughout the day that may include process monitoring for many hours, or process setup and tear down.
  • Daily engagement in the Tier 1 process which includes generating safety, quality and cost improvement ideas.
  • Participate in process improvement Kaizen events when assigned.
  • Perform TPM (Total Performance Maintenance) procedures as required by the LMS system.
  • Learn and utilize the DPQx SPC system for monitoring process health and report any abnormalities to a member of leadership
  • Required to drive a forklift
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
  • Must be able to work any shift and cover overtime as necessary to maintain business operations.
  • Operator I will be able to operate independently with in the areas that they are certified/trained in
JOB FACTORS

KNOWLEDGE: Perform work requiring general knowledge of production principles where productive process depends on an ability to detect and correct the defect. Basic understanding of Lean principles.

SURROUNDINGS

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; elevated work locations; severe hot and cold temperatures; conditions such as fumes, dust, chemicals, and noise which necessitate the wearing of specialized protective clothing/devices. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, even when weather is severe. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate to loud.
