The MÜNZING Corporation in Clover, SC is seeking a Chemical Packager for the 3rd shift to perform material handling and packaging duties in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.

You will operate forklifts and related equipment, follow detailed procedures for filling and labeling drums, complete batch paperwork, maintain a clean work area, and uphold OSHA safety standards while cooperating with team members on 3rd shift (10:30pm–7am, Sunday–Thursday).

Formación

• High school diploma or GED and experience in shipping or material handling.
• Forklift certification or ability to complete forklift training.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and Safe Work procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work under minimum supervision and as part of a team.

Chemical Packager - 3rd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Production Supervisor, and is responsible for performing all day-to-day activities involving Material Handling and Packaging functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Safely use standard forklift, pallet jack and hand cart to load, unload, and move product
• Material Handling and Packaging functions - filling, lifting, rolling and labeling drums and pails of hazardous chemicals by following detailed procedures
• Completing required paperwork for product batches
• Keep work area clean and organized and ensure equipment is kept in clean, working order
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safe work practices at all times

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, and previous experience in shipping, receiving, material handling is a must;
• preferably in a manufacturing environment in the Chemical industry
• Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training
• Basic math and computer skills
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and Safe Work procedures
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with co-workers and supervisors
• Self-starter with the ability to work under minimum supervision, be highly motivated, and enjoy working as part of a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in a fast paced, chemical manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required
• Must have the ability to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and frequently walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and generally perform physically demanding tasks
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, hard hats, steel toe cap boots, and company provided uniform

  HOURS: 40 Hours, Full-time
  WORK SCHEDULE: 3rd Shift, 10:30pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday
