Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Bridgewater, NJ is hiring a Chemical Packager for 2nd shift. You will perform weighing, filling, labeling and sealing of bottles, and handle packaging materials in a structured warehouse setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, good English literacy, and the ability to work safely in a GMP environment. Forklift experience is a plus, and a shift differential applies for this 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, lab or related field.
• Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Forklift operation experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Weighing, filling, labeling, sealing and other packaging operations for various bottle sizes.
• General warehouse duties relating to packaging materials such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order.
• Transport bulk material, bottles, caps and supplies to filling location.
• Complete necessary information for recordkeeping.
• Set up scale, checks bottle size, sets up containers to be filled.
• Responsible for working safely and for producing quality products.

Shift Differential: $0.50/hr

Education:

Experience:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to read and write in English
• Candidates who are committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Worker must be capable of operating powered industrial trucks, forklift operator experience is helpful

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $20.00–$22.35.
