Job summary

Clariant, a Swiss-based global specialty chemicals company, is seeking a Chemical Operator Trainee at our Mt. Holly, NC plant. You will learn and support daily production activities, operate process equipment, handle raw materials, and follow safety and quality procedures.

You will train with experienced operators, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to a reliable and efficient manufacturing environment, with opportunities to grow within the Care Chemicals business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Prior chemical experience is a plus.
• Basic computer literacy and math skills.
• Reading comprehension is essential to follow procedures and batch records.

Responsibilities

• Train on Production operations in assigned plant.
• Learn various functions & responsibilities in assigned plant.
• Learn and use SAP system transactions that relate to production, inventory management and material movement.
• Assist Chemical Operators (Levels 1, 2 & 3s) in all phases of process equipment operation.
• Operate assigned production equipment & processes.
• Read batch sheets, standard operating procedures, and material safety data sheets and understand the importance of each.
• Learn proper chemical charging and sampling procedures.
• Follow operating instructions to produce a quality product.
• Use forklift frequently to move raw materials and finished goods.
