Brenntag North America is seeking a Warehouse Operator to safely handle liquid and dry chemical products in a fast-paced warehouse. You will load/unload trucks, operate forklifts, repackage materials, and maintain precise inventory records with an emphasis on safety and compliance.

This hands-on role involves loading and unloading trucks, tankers, and railcars; operating forklifts and other industrial equipment; repackaging and labeling materials; and maintaining precise inventory records. General: Receive/unload and prepare/load liquid and dry chemical products from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars.
This work is physical and requires attention to detail as follows:
Education and Experience: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or US military experience. Candidates with prior experience in working with chemical operations (2+ years) may be considered if education or service requirements are not fully met. Possess or able to pass exam to obtain Forklift Operators certification and demonstrate ability to operate a forklift safely. Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English and write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure Ability to learn and operate technology-based devices such as smart phones, tablets, computers, PLCs, operational technology equipment, etc. to carry out normal business operations. Meet or exceed production requirements based on information and or equipment used in the course of work performance Wear safety equipment as prescribed by company Comply with placarding rules when loading or unloading trucks
Participate in ongoing safety program including safety meetings and trainings Must be available to work any days of the week, any assigned 8-12 hour shift Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed Good safety and attendance record Ability to work cooperatively with other departments and personnel Observe, follow and enforce all company policies and procedures Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Must pass E-verify check Must be capable of attaining a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card for participating MTSA facilities within Brenntag. Only applicable to MTSA sites. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Able to pass company physical and all training requirements, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment, which may include a respirator. Able to perform all functions of loading, unloading, packaging, stacking, palletizing, storage, and movement of material Able to utilize tools and equipment as necessary to perform job tasks Standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 95% of day Must be able to operate standing & sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks and drum pickers. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to the top of tanks, tankers and rail cars Frequently exposed to outside weather (from 10% to 75% of the time) sometimes in extreme weather conditions
