About the Job:

As a Chemical Operator, you will perform process-related tasks in a chemical manufacturing environment to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is responsible for operating chemical processes, monitoring equipment and systems, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, including applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This position offers a clear development path, with opportunities to progress from Trainee to Operator C, B, A, and Lead Operator through structured training and certification programs.

In Your Future Job as a Chemical Operator, You Will
  • Operate chemical manufacturing processes involving either continuous or batch reactions
  • Follow all site safety, environmental, and operational regulations
  • Adjust instrument settings and process formulas based on guidance from the laboratory or supervisor
  • Monitor process performance to ensure safe and efficient production
  • Identify and report safety concerns immediately to supervision
  • Report equipment issues or deficiencies so repairs can be made promptly
  • Work collaboratively with other operators within your assigned process area
  • Complete production logs, records, and process documentation accurately
  • Perform analytical tests required to support process performance and product quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the process area
  • Perform simple or minor maintenance on equipment when needed
  • Use various tools and equipment required to perform daily duties
  • Participate in Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) activities directed by management
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and suggestions to improve HSES processes at the site
  • Assist in training fellow employees for certifications within the work area
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Additional Details:

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Operations Manager and will be based at our site in Salisbury, NC.
