Job summary

Ascensus Specialties LLC is seeking a Chemical Facilities Technician I to support safe production of specialty chemicals in our Newburyport, MA facility. Under direct supervision, you will assist with synthesis, operate high-pressure reactors, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and record production data following GMP, safety, and quality standards.

This role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 0–2 years in chemical manufacturing or lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical training in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years in chemical manufacturing, lab operations, or related production preferred.
• Basic understanding of chemical safety practices in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist synthesis and processing of specialty chemicals using established procedures.
• Operate and monitor high‑pressure reactors and other processing equipment.
• Assist with assembly, leak-testing, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Collect and document process data to support production and improvements.
• Prepare charts and reports for manufacturing and development activities.
