Qualifications

• Ability to follow LEAN and 5S principles to maintain organized work areas.
• Basic record-keeping and reporting of production activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute assembly and chemical production tasks with precision.
• Follow SOPs to ensure consistency and quality.
• Monitor deviations or defects and report them.
• Maintain production records, equipment logs, and inventory docs.
• Collaborate with quality team to address nonconformities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report safety concerns.

• Operate process equipment such as pumps, compressors, and valves safely.
• Identify root causes and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Monitor process conditions like temperatures and pressures.
• Assist with intermediate or finished product synthesis and packaging.
• Interpret test results and compare to specs.
• Observe material and process behavior.
• Comply with cleanroom protocols and housekeeping.

We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Chemical Manufacturing Technician I. This position will be located in Dayton, OH.

Summary

Chemical Manufacturing Technicians play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, adherence to quality standards, and timely production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Execute assembly and chemical production tasks with precision and attention to detail.
• Follow stand operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in the chemical manufacturing process.
• Monitor and report any deviations or defects in the chemical manufacturing process.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including equipment logs, quality reports, and inventory documentation.
• Collaborate with the quality team to document and address any nonconformities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and continuously improving work environment.
• Operate process related chemical manufacturing equipment such as pumps, compressors, and valves in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, considering chemical hazards and safety.
• Utilize established procedures, process knowledge, and critical thinking skills to identify, troubleshoot, and respond appropriately to out of specification conditions, escalating issues when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues.
• Monitor chemical manufacturing process equipment and conditions including process levels, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.
• Assist and prepare intermediate or finished product synthesis, formulation, purification, bottling, labeling, and packaging.
• Interpret test results on chemical materials and products and compare against specifications.
• Observe chemical materials and process behavior.
• Identify nonconformities and act based on control plans or material review.
• Comply with cleanroom protocols and perform general housekeeping tasks and clean-up procedures.

Education & Credentials

• High school diploma or equivalent.
