Job summary

Cleanslate is seeking a Chemical Manufacturing Apprentice for our Linden, NJ production team. No experience is required as 100% paid training is provided.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, starting pay of $18/hour with potential increases within the first year based on performance and growth. This entry-level position focuses on learning to safely handle materials, operate batching equipment, and follow SOPs in a clean, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• No prior chemical manufacturing experience required; full training provided.
• Basic math skills and ability to work with weights and measurements.
• Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual preferred - English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely handle, measure, and mix raw materials used in chemical manufacturing.
• Review production batch requirements and follow managers' instructions.
• Collect and stage raw materials needed for production batches.
• Accurately weigh and measure raw materials and complete proper documentation.
• Learn to operate batching equipment, including pumps, hoses, mixers, and other production machinery.
• Strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures when working with hazardous chemicals.
• Properly use required PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow all SOPs and production instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete assigned production tasks accurately and on time.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Strong communication skills and ability to ask questions when clarification is needed.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is a plus, but not required.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience is a plus, but not required.
• Bilingual preferred - English/Spanish.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for incremental increases throughout the first year based on performance, commitment, and skill development. Employees who consistently meet expectations and demonstrate continued growth may earn up to $20.00 per hour within their first year.
