Chemical Lab Technician in Beaumont TX
Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing and quality activities within a chemical manufacturing environment. This position will perform testing of incoming materials, in-process samples, final products, raw materials, and other samples as required. The successful candidate will follow established laboratory procedures, test methods, and company policies while maintaining accurate records and contributing to a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately record observations and results.
  • Test incoming, in-process, final product, raw material, and other samples.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, analytical methods, and company policies.
  • Perform calculations and collect, prepare, and evaluate technical data.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established formulas and procedures.
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations and verify data for accuracy.
  • Complete technical documentation and record-keeping activities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Review data and technical information and make minor corrections or adjustments as needed.
  • Support laboratory operations by stocking and distributing supplies and equipment.
  • Set up and dismantle laboratory apparatus and equipment as needed.
  • Collect, clean, and properly store laboratory glassware and equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
  • Assist with routine laboratory and equipment upkeep.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and optimize laboratory processes.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Communicate technical information effectively with colleagues and contacts within the immediate work area.
  • Troubleshoot routine technical issues using established procedures and prescribed solutions.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, safety, and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and experience using standard laboratory test instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, analytical methods, and established work instructions.
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work a rotating 8-hour schedule.
  • Willingness to work overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to work on-site
