  • Record production using Job Boss system and ensure GDP-compliant documentation.
  • Escalate equipment issues needing repair or adjustment.
  • Support EMS Quality Policy and Objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

A Chemical FinishI job typically involves working with various chemicals and equipment to apply finishing processes to products.

Description
  • Cleaning – is to remove all processing fluids, metal finishing compounds, glass bead, etc.
  • Passivation - is using nitric or citric acid to remove free iron from the surface and forms a protective rust resistant layer on stainless materials.
  • Electro-polish - is an electrochemical process that removes microscopic material form the surface.
  • Spinner – is a deburring machine uses small stainless-steel pins and magnets to deburr parts.
  • Heat Treat – is the process of heating and cooling metal to change their microstructure in a way that will produce desired properties.
  • All parts have to pass through this area to meet any and all customer requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Chemical Finishers process parts according to the customer print and or EMS specifications.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality in your work area or station.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization for your benefit and that of your fellow employees.
  • Maintain line clearance at all times.
  • Identify non-conforming product and notify appropriate personnel or management.
  • Record production through Job Boss system.
  • Check to ensure all documentation (routers, inspection sheets, etc.) is filled in correctly and completely following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ability to elevate issues or concerns that require review of equipment for repair or adjustment to the Production.
  • Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
  • Perform Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment.
  • Basic knowledge of proper handling of chemicals.
  • Understand relevant Safety requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in multiple areas as needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
  • Restrictions
  • Good vision either natural or thru correction (Glasses/Contacts lens) is needed for this position. Ability to see colors.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties.
