Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze product failure data and lab test results to identify causes and develop solutions.
• Conduct tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure quality.
• Determine appropriate fabrication and joining methods for materials.
• Design and direct testing and control of processing procedures.
• Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors for process or product design.
• Monitor material performance and assess deterioration.
• Plan and implement lab operations for developing material and fabrication procedures meeting cost, spec, and performance targets.
• Review new product plans and advise on manufacturability, strength, weight, corrosion resistance, and cost.
• Potentially supervise hourly crew and support business needs.
