Job summary

Mercor is recruiting a Chemical Engineering Expert for a contract engagement. This role is remote and requires about 10 hours per week, with compensation at 65–90 USD per hour.

You will review and improve AI-assisted chemical engineering content and provide expert feedback based on your professional experience. The ideal candidate holds a US PE license, 2+ years in process design or plant operations, and familiarity with OSHA PSM, API standards, Aspen and MATLAB.

Position: Chemical Engineering Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $65–$90/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 hours/week

Qualifications Must-Have

• Degree-qualified chemical engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the US.
• 2+ years of professional chemical engineering experience across areas like process design, process safety, or plant operations.
• Familiarity with process safety standards (e.g., OSHA PSM , API ) and process simulation tools ( Aspen , MATLAB ).
• Comfortable using everyday AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT ).
• Based in the United States.
• Professional working English .
• Able to commit to about 10 hours per week .

Preferred

• Experience writing process documentation, SOPs, or technical training material.
